Matched Betting Experiment - Day 14

Current profit: $1033.47

So I'm heading back to Ohio today. Before leaving, I place my Michigan bets. I place a risk free bet for $100. As I stated yesterday, I will receive 1 of these risk free bets each day for 10 days. This is day 2. I also place the 2 $100 bonus bets I earned yesterday.

Once back in Ohio I place 2 more bets for the day. 1 $100 bonus bet and 1 risk free bet.

I get an amazing deposit match offer today. They will match me 50% of my deposit up to $250. So I add $500 to this sportsbook to maximize this daily promo.

Monday morning. I realize that I cannot see my Michigan bets now that I'm in Ohio. I can still see my balance and request a withdrawal, but I can't see the details of my bets.

My bonus Michigan bets bring in profits of $72.80 & $65. My risk free bet loses $25 but gets me a $100 bonus bet.

My Ohio bets earn me profits of $70 & $45.

First a quick correction. I forgot to deduct my qualifying bet loss of from yesterday from my total profit. I thought I lost $1, but after settling up the bet in ProfitDuel, I realized I actually lost 50¢. So my current profit is $178.99. Matched Betting Experiment - Day 1

*** TLDR – I’ve decided to experiment with matched betting and I’m going to share my experience on this blog. I originally started sharing my journey on Reddit, but have added it here as well for visibility.  I’ve been watching this sub and looking for a side hustle for quite a while. Matched Betting Experiment - Day 4

Another day, another lesson (or two) learned. Current profit $231.49. So as I stated yesterday, I have $150 in bonus bets to use last night. So I jump on ProfitDuel to find a match. I find a great bet which is going to turn my promo funds into around $111. Now this return is based on the odds which were current when the deal was found. I check the first sportsbook and the odds have changed slightly. This leads me to check the 2nd sportsbook and I see that the odds there have changed drastically. I put the new odds in the calculator and realize it's going to drastically reduce my profit. Lesson learned. Always double check the odds before placing the bet. So I decided to find another bet. After viewing the other options the bets are either for later this week or require a large counter bet for which I don't currently have the bank roll to cover.
